Our Day Trip to Roanoke

The day after Christmas we drove up to Roanoke to see Josh's Grams and Granddaddy. Grams cooked everyone lunch and we visited for a while and then we went to The Hotel Roanoke to see their tree display that they have every December. Josh and I have gone almost every year since before we were married and it was so fun to have Luke with us. He loves Christmas trees.

After the Hotel we went back to Grams and Granddaddy's house. Luke loved Grams' bear that says The Night Before Christmas. At the end of the day we met up with some family friends and went to Three Li'l Pigs BBQ for dinner. Josh and I stopped at our favorite coffee place and then headed home.

This brought an end to our Christmas activities and traveling. What a great first Christmas we've had with Luke. :)

Luke's First Christmas

Christmas Eve was on a Sunday this year so we spent the day at church. We had Sunday School, worship service, and then the Candle Light service that night. We went to my parents house for dinner and then went home to put Luke to bed! We were so excited to set up his gifts for his first Christmas morning! I can't believe it's now come and gone...

Luke walked out with Daddy on Christmas morning and loved his Mickey puppets, balls, and PJ Mask cars. We took our picture in our Elf/Santa jammies and got ready to go to Mimi and Poppy's. We had breakfast and then Luke opened all of his presents. He got so many gifts that he loved. Aunt Rebekah crocheted him a cat like his elephant she gave me at my baby shower! And the wagon from Mimi and Poppy was his favorite. :) Then we exchanged all of our gifts. Mom and I particularly enjoyed our Luke popsockets. ;)

After a while we took Luke home to nap and my parents and Rebekah went to visit my grandma. Luke fell asleep eventually.... then we got ready to go again and went back for dinner and presents with Zac!

On our way home we stopped by to see some of our other church family. :) Then we got that sleepy baby to bed!

We have been so excited and loved every minute of this Christmas season with our Luke. I can't believe it's over. Now we can't wait for next year when he will be more mobile and crazy and will love it even more.

A Bryant Family Christmas

This year Josh's family came up to North Carolina and Virginia for Christmas! Since moving to Atlanta, they have stayed down in Georgia for the holidays and we have gone to visit them. This year was different because Matt has a new job and only had two days off and we have Luke!

They came up on Thursday evening. We spent Friday hanging out, seeing Star Wars (while Grammy kept Luke), and then Matt came down after work! On Saturday morning we got up, made a Christmas breakfast and opened presents for Josh, Luke, and me. They also opened all of their presents from us. Mostly it was Luke-Present-Time. :)

Here are pictures from our Saturday "Christmas" on the 23rd:

Luke LOVED his Owlette car from Grammy and Grandy and his remote from Uncle Matt! After presents, we went out for some last minute Christmas shopping and then they left for Virginia! We went up to see them plus Grams and Granddaddy the day after Christmas and I will post those pictures soon!
