How in the world is Luke already 6 months old? It feels like forever, but also like there is no way he has been with us for half a year. Here are some things to remember about when he was 5 months old:
- This month Luke started eating fruit! He loves apples and pears the most. I was so excited for him to try bananas, but he's not crazy about them. He is a pro with a spoon now. A few days before he turned 6 months we gave him strawberries and then bananas in a fruit teether. He also tried a sweet potato teething biscuit. :)
- Luke discovered his tongue right after he turned 5 months. He loves making noise with it all of the time now.
- He also started scooting around the week he turned 5 months!
- He was able to sit up more independently and sat up in his tub the first week he was five months too!
- All of a sudden he has become very interested with our cats. He stares at them and reaches for the them and tries to put their tails in his mouth. Ah!
- We had his dedication at church 2 days before he turned 6 months and it was great to have both of our families there for him.
- He is very vocal and active all the time. He loves to make noise and smile all day. He gets fussy when he is tired or hungry, but is generally a very happy baby.
- He loves Mickey Mouse and is obsessed with the Christmas episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on YouTube. Santa is also his favorite. The Busy Beavers Shapes Song still works like magic to calm him down. He is a crazy boy.
- We drove up to Lynchburg for the day with his Uncle Matt for a job interview. That was the only extended trip in the car for the month. And yay! Matt got the job!
He had his 6 month check-up on the 3rd and here are his stats:
20 lbs 10 oz - 94th percentile
27.5 in - 85th percentile
46 cm head circumference - 99th percentile
AH! We love this big headed boy so much! Only 6 months until our Mickey birthday party! :)
XOXO
