Winner's Circle Baby Shower

We have been so blessed with a shower thrown by our church, my preschool, and now my closest and oldest friends. On Saturday, my friends Meredith and Hannah and their mom hosted the sweetest shower for us. Here are tons of pictures:

My sister MADE this elephant and baby blanket. I love them so much. She taught herself how to crochet a couple of months ago and she is so talented. :)

A selfie stick pic was necessary to get everyone in. :) We missed Emily and Jordan.

We're ready to be Mimi, Mommy, and Aunt Rebekah in a MONTH. (Please don't come late, baby.)

I'm so thankful for friends like Meredith and Hannah who I've been able to grow up with, live with in college, and call with all of my crazy pregnancy worries (they're both nurses). Can't wait for them to be able to love on this sweet boy in person. :)

Gender Reveal Party

The day we told my parents that I was pregnant, my mom started planning a gender reveal party. We thought we'd have to wait for the 20 week anatomy scan (20 weeks starts on December 2nd), but Josh and I got too impatient and scheduled a 3D ultrasound at the beginning of my 16th week.

We had an appointment on Friday afternoon, where we found out we are having a boy! I was so nervous the baby wouldn't cooperate, and then so happy when he did. :)

It was VERY hard to keep it a secret until the party the next night. I didn't realize how convinced I was that this baby was a girl, until the ultrasound tech told us he was a boy! On the way home from the appointment I had to call my friend April, who has two boys, so I could get it out.

We decided to pop a balloon to make the reveal. My mom cut up tons of blue and pink hearts and Josh took both to the store to have the balloons blown up with blue tissue paper.

It wasn't a big party, we just invited our closest family and friends who live close to us. (Except for Josh's family who drove up from Atlanta.)

My mom, sister, and her roommate Caitlin worked so hard to make this party special. We felt so happy, excited, and loved. It was a great night. And now we can't wait to meet our baby boy sometime around April 21st! :)

Chloe's a Teenager!

Josh's little sister, Chloe, turned 13 on Sunday! When Josh and I started dating she was 7 years old and now I can't believe she's a teenager.

Josh's mom, Charity, Chloe, and Matt came to stay with us Friday night so that the girls could go to Comic Con in Raleigh on Saturday. Matt stayed with us on Saturday so ate and shopped at our favorite places, watched Friends and then drove up to Roanoke for the party on Sunday. Here are more pictures from the party:

A picture of them from Comic Con with their favorite, David Tennant. ^

We found out several weeks ago that Josh's family will be moving to Atlanta this summer, because of his company's relocation. So we wanted to take pictures of the house before they move.
