Lighting of the Quad

Josh has been working at Wake Forest for a little over 2 months now. On Tuesday night (December 1st) they had their annual Lighting of the Quad event for students and staff. We invited my parents to come and were really excited to see the lights and get in the Christmas spirit, so when it raining Tuesday afternoon we decided to still go for it. We stood in the rain with lots of other people listening to the university's acapella groups sing Christmas carols, saw the lights, and ate cookies and hot chocolate.

Toward the end, we formed a circle around the quad and lit our candles. It was a really beautiful cold rainy night. :)

Maybe we can go again next year... if it's not raining. ;)

Wake Forest University

When I posted about our move back to Kernersville, I mentioned that it was very spontaneous. Josh did not have a job over this way, or even any interviews lined up. We made the decision to move at the beginning of July and Josh decided to keep applying for jobs and commute as long as it was needed. A couple of weeks before we moved (moving day was August 29th) he got a call from Wake Forest University. He decided to go to two interviews with them even though he thought he had no chance. The second interview was two days after we moved to Kernersville. The next weekend we went to the beach for Labor Day weekend, but later that week he got the call that he got the job!! We are so so so excited! Here is a picture of him in front of his new office building a couple days after he got the job.

This is the School of Business where he is the Web Developer.

Wake Forest is BEAUTIFUL and this job is such a blessing in our lives!
He started on September 28th, so he has been there just over a month now. I'm so proud of him!
