Baby Gizzy

Last week was a very hard week. After Kitty had emergency surgery that did not make him better, we had to put him to sleep. :(  At first we thought we should wait a while before getting another cat... but after a day or two without Kitty we knew we needed another little kitty to love on.

We searched for kittens in the area on www,PetFinder.com and we were immediately drawn to this adorable girl named Gizmo. So on Friday I went to the Humane Society of Alamance County and picked up our baby!

She is the sweetest, most adorable little kitten!

We love our baby girl!
XOXO

Kitty Miaz

Our sweet, silly, crazy Kitty died this week. We had to put him to sleep after emergency surgery for a urinary blockage did not fix his problem. We are so so sad and miss him so much. He will always be an important part of our family.

Matt came to visit!

This is super late since Matt came to visit weeks ago... (the week after Mother's Day) but I already uploaded the pictures so here we go.  Josh went up to Roanoke to see his mom for Mother's Day and Matt came back home with him.

We met Josh for lunch almost everyday. :)

and took super cool jumping pictures...

and Kitty loved having Uncle at home with him all day while Josh and I were at work...

Thursday night we met up with friends to go see The Avengers and then went to Steak & Shake afterward. It was a fun night and we got home around 12:30 am.

Saturday we went to my parents house and then drove to Charlotte to go to IKEA!

Josh got a new desk that Kitty loved immediately.

Sunday, we drove halfway up to Roanoke and met their family at a Mexican restaurant in Martinsville to have dinner and drop Matt off.

We had a fun week!
He's coming back on Saturday to cat sit while we go to the BEACH!!!!!

Woohoo!

Surprise Snow Day!

Josh got up for work this morning and I heard him yell from the living room, "Babe, check for school closings!" I jumped out of bed and ran to the window and saw snow falling! It was very exciting since this was not forecasted at all. Even though it was a pretty lame accumulation, school was cancelled for me and Josh worked from home and we had a fun day relaxing. :)

We took Kitty outside to see the snow and he rolled around in it and ate some grass.

While I did have a fun day, I'm a little annoyed with all of the snow days. We missed everyday last week (Feb. 17-20) because of an 1/2 inch of snow and about 1/10 inch of ice on Monday! But now they're calling for 4-6 inches tomorrow night-Thursday morning. Ahhhh I need Spring to get here ASAP,

Christmas Day 2014

It's crazy that this was our third Christmas since we've been married! Every year, so far, we do Christmas Eve with Josh's family and then drive home late Christmas Eve night to have Christmas morning in our apartment. My mom had a tradition to always give me and my sister new pajamas on Christmas Eve night and now Josh and I do that for each other. So Christmas morning we got up and opened our presents to each other in our new "jingle jammies."

After opening presents we drove to my parents house for breakfast. Then headed to Raleigh for lunch with my mom's family.

Every year some of the guys play foosball, this year Josh took over for my dad. ;)

Since Josh and I got married we do gifts with my family on Christmas night. We drive back from Raleigh and put on pajamas and open presents. It's something to look forward to all day on Christmas. :)

We had a great Christmas with both of our families! That is the best part of the season.

XOXO

We like it when Matt comes to visit!

Our First Apartment

Josh and I are moving to Whitsett, NC in less than a month! We have loved living in Kernersville and will really miss it. Although I'd say we've had a love/hate relationship with our apartment, I think we will always miss our first little place together. Before we leave, we thought we should take lots of pictures so we can always remember what this first chapter of our married life looked like.

The Living Room

I LOVE the show Friends. Before we were even dating, I told Josh that I wanted a frame like Monica's to go over the peep hole in my future home. We started dating a little while later and this Friends frame ^ was the first birthday gift Josh ever gave me. :) (Also all of the framed prints are from here!)

^ Another awesome gift from Josh. I ruined our $20 Walmart coffee table, when I knocked over half a bottle of nail polish remover on it. He took the table in his office and started a secret project. A few days later, on Valentine's Day, he surprised me with it covered in this glass tile. He did it all by himself and I am still impressed by it!

Our Tiny Bathroom

This frame is in the hallway between the bathroom and the office. Josh has been packing up his stuff in the office for the past week or so, so here are a few pictures of our disaster area:

We're very excited to be moving to a nicer and bigger place, but I will always love this little apartment. Our first home together.
