FEBRUARY

I have fallen out of the habit of blogging what we've been doing lately... hopefully this month I'll get back on track.

February went by so quickly. On February 2nd, we went to see my Grandma on her 80th birthday!

We went to a Super Bowl party with friends and families from our church. We got to hang out with some of the youth and watch the Panthers lose. :( But it was still exciting to see them in the big game again. The last time they went to the Super Bowl I was 14 years old.

My mom, Josh, and I took a concealed carry class from a man in our church on February 13th. We all passed and had a fun day! Josh and I went out with my parents for Mexican food afterward.

Josh got me roses for Valentines Day and we got a surprise snow day on that Monday the 15th. :) We played with Gizzy and started watching The Flash.

On Friday, the 19th, we took Josie and Gracie up to tour Liberty. We met up with Matt for convo and lunch at Osaka. We had a fun trip.

We celebrated Josh's 27th birthday a couple days early with my family.

On Josh's actual birthday we took the youth to WinterJam at the coliseum. It was a super fun day and the concert was amazing. I really love this youth group we get to work with.

February went by so quickly! Can't believe March is almost half way over and then we will be a quarter of the way through 2016! Crazy!

January

How is it February 3rd already??
I need to record all of January since I didn't blog at all...

On New Years Eve we hung around the apartment, went out for Greek food for dinner, and then ate our favorite snacks and waited for the ball to drop.

We spent a lot of time this month finishing The West Wing on Netflix. LOVE that show. While we watched I had lots of time to bible journal.

Gizzy was obviously super cute.

The second weekend, all of the Parnell/Booker sisters were in town and at church at once! The next weekend our friends Jake and Lauren came to hang out with us for a while!

My birthday was on a Sunday this year and it fell right in the middle of a snow/ice storm. Anticipating being snowed in, we had dinner with my family a couple days early. Rebekah and Mom took me to get our nails done and then we met Josh and Dad for Mexican food. We went to Cook-out on the way home because all I wanted for desert was a mint chocolate chip milkshake. :)

It did snow and ice a few inches and I ended up missing school Thursday and Friday before my birthday. Josh had a snow day on Friday too! (I also had Monday and Tuesday off of school and a delay on Wednesday!)

Katie and Ethan surprised me for dinner Saturday night! We went to Pizzeria 66 and then had some ice cream at our apartment.

This month Josh started working as the Family Minister at our church. Since it is a part time position, his primary function right now is as the youth minister. While he has been teaching every Sunday and Wednesday this month, we had our first activity on the 29th. We had a pizza and game night and played Just Dance for hours!

January was a fun month! Bring on the rest of 2016!

Christmas 2015

On Christmas Eve we went to the Candlelight Service at church with my parents and Rebekah. Afterwards we went to mom and dad's house for dinner and Christmas puzzling. :)

Rebekah, mom, and I all had matching pajamas this year. I tried to get Rebekah to take a picture with me in front of the tree, but she said I would have to carry her there. I dropped her.. but I got the picture. :)

We went home that night and watched The West Wing and packed for Atlanta and then went to bed. On Christmas morning we woke up at our apartment and I didn't take any pictures except this one of Gizzy with one of her new toys from her stocking.

After opening presents, we went to mom and dad's to eat breakfast and then headed to Raleigh for Christmas lunch at my Uncle Mike's house. I didn't take many pictures, but it was great to see all of my extended family! I did have to get a picture of me and Josh in front of the Christmas tree, because we have one from every year since we've been married.

We took grandma back home and got to see Jimmy! We love him! I'm so thankful for the way he takes care of grandma. I'm glad he's a part of our family.

We went back to mom and dad's and opened presents and had lots of yummy food.

Before Josh and I went home we played Bounce-Off with my parents. Mom gets a new game every year for Christmas, this one was really fun!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!
XOXO

Back to Kernersville!

After a year of living in Whitsett, we have moved back to Kernersville! At the beginning of July, we knew our lease was coming to an end and decided, pretty spontaneously, to move back to Kernersville. We really loved living in there and we knew it was where we wanted to live eventually so we decided to go for it. We are really excited to be back and we love our new apartment!
