We moved!

We have finally moved!!!

What a crazy last few days it has been! We finished packing everything up Friday night and moved Saturday. My parents and our lifegroup leaders from church came to help us pack up. Josh's mom and brother drove down from Virginia to help too.

Once we got to the new place (and had a pizza break) we unloaded everything pretty quickly. Katie, Ethan, and their friend Cory came to help too. My parents took the truck to pick up our new (to us) washing machine; Josh, his brother and his mom worked on the office; Katie helped me unpack and organize the new kitchen; and Ethan and Cory put together our new Ikea sectional!!! We are so thankful for all of the help! We couldn't have done it without our family and friends!

I was too busy and stressed to take pictures of anything that day, but luckily my mother-in-law and brother-in-law snapped a few pictures.

Here's our new couch from Ikea!!

Our lease in our old place is not actually up for a couple more weeks so we went back Sunday (it's about 25-30 minutes away) to get food and clean the fridge and freezer. I didn't expect to be sad but I was. That was our first home together and I will really miss it. BUT I AM SO EXCITED to live in our new place. :)

I'm so happy to be moved. We love it and can't wait to make this our new home!

XOXO

BOXES EVERYWHERE!

Our whole life is in boxes and I'm about to go crazy over here! Thank goodness we are moving THIS Saturday. I can't believe it. Once we get moved, hopefully I will have fun new adventures to blog about. ;)

Our First Apartment

Josh and I are moving to Whitsett, NC in less than a month! We have loved living in Kernersville and will really miss it. Although I'd say we've had a love/hate relationship with our apartment, I think we will always miss our first little place together. Before we leave, we thought we should take lots of pictures so we can always remember what this first chapter of our married life looked like.

The Living Room

I LOVE the show Friends. Before we were even dating, I told Josh that I wanted a frame like Monica's to go over the peep hole in my future home. We started dating a little while later and this Friends frame ^ was the first birthday gift Josh ever gave me. :) (Also all of the framed prints are from here!)

^ Another awesome gift from Josh. I ruined our $20 Walmart coffee table, when I knocked over half a bottle of nail polish remover on it. He took the table in his office and started a secret project. A few days later, on Valentine's Day, he surprised me with it covered in this glass tile. He did it all by himself and I am still impressed by it!

Our Tiny Bathroom

This frame is in the hallway between the bathroom and the office. Josh has been packing up his stuff in the office for the past week or so, so here are a few pictures of our disaster area:

The Office

We're very excited to be moving to a nicer and bigger place, but I will always love this little apartment. Our first home together.

WE'RE MOVING!

We've been praying for a long time that God would provide Josh with a consistent full time job. Today he finished his second week with his new company! We are so excited and I am so proud of him! The job is in Burlington, so he is driving back and forth for a couple of months until our lease ends in August. Then we will be moving to some wonderful apartments right outside of the city in Whitsett, NC!! I can't wait!

March

March through our Instagrams:

1. We got a new awesome TV stand at Target that I love!! (Kitty does too.) // 2. #OldNavySelfie // 3. I dreamed of going back to San Diego on one of the THREE snow days we had this month. // 4. Josh danced to his favorite, Justin Timberlake. // 5. Kitty went on a trip to stay with his grandparents while we went up to VA to visit Josh's family. // 6. Chloe turned 12 and had an awesome birthday party! // 7. I got to use my new camera and Josh's brother took this great picture of us with it! // 8. The next weekend we took a road trip to Ikea with my family. // 9. Josh got into everything... I can't take him anywhere. // 10. I LOVE Ikea. It is so fun! If Josh let me, I would spend all of my money on picture frames there. // 11. We found the cutest UNC baby clothes at Target.. but we don't need those for now. ;) // 12. New welcome mat from Target! If Josh let me, I would probably buy one (or a few) of everything in there...

Here are some more that didn't make it to Instagram:

1. My favorite boys! // 2. My March bulletin board at Preschool! // 3. I have LOVED getting home from work and having so much daylight left! Thank the Lord for Daylight Savings. // 4. Josh made lemonade in a refrigerator drawer for Chloe's party. // 5. I woke up one morning to Kitty laying right next to me like that. // 6. We bought some bird feeders. Hours of entertainment. // 7. Josh modeled a shirt at Target. // 8. Josh also made this awesome invitation for my best friend's engagement party that I'm throwing next month!

Also something big, not pictured this month, was March Madness! Josh and I filled out brackets last year and had so much fun that it is an official tradition now. I won last year, but it looks like Josh has me beat for 2014. He thinks the winner should have exclusive naming rights for any children born during that year. HA! He thinks wrong! We had lots of fun filling out our brackets and watching the games!

It was a wonderful month with my wonderful husband, but we are very excited for April! Lots of potentially exciting things going on around here! We will see what God has in store.
For now, I am so excited for Spring Break this week! Spring has possibly, finally arrived, because the forecast says it will be in the 70's all week! Praise the Lord!

Happy April!

Snow Days!

After a couple of dustings this winter, we finally got a good snow! It started on Wednesday, the 12th, around noon and didn't end until Thursday around 4pm! I had 3 days off work to stay cozy inside with Josh and Kitty. It was wonderful!

We used the tripod Katie got me for my birthday but there was a glare since we didn't from inside.

I'm so glad we got to have these snow days, but now these 50-70 degree days lately have totally spoiled me for Spring! 2 weeks until daylight savings and I can't wait.

Year in Review: 2013

JANUARY: We rang in the new year with the Burnettes and the Branchs shooting guns, eating Buffalo Wild Wings, playing The Newly Wed Game (which Josh & I dominated), and making doughnuts! We also celebrated my 23rd birthday!

FEBRUARY: Josh re-did our coffee table in glass tiles and got me 2 dozen roses for our first Valentines Day as a married couple. Josh also received his Master's diploma from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary and turned 24!

MARCH: We went to Roanoke to celebrate Chloe's 11th birthday, enjoyed lots of Tokyo Express, and celebrated our first Easter as a married couple.

APRIL: We visited Liberty and the monogram while I was on spring break, we bought kitty a leash and played outside, and Lauren took me on my first trip to Ikea! Josh and I also dominated the Newly Wed Game again. ;)

MAY: Josh graduated with his Master's from Liberty! I finished my first school year at the preschool and we got ready for our big anniversary trip!

JUNE: We celebrated our first anniversary with a last minute business trip to San Diego, CA and a vacation to Oak Island, NC! We went from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic in less than 48 hours. We had SO much fun.

JULY: We grilled burgers, saw the Kernersville fireworks, and watched Captain America on the 4th of July.  We also took a trip to Roanoke and Charlotteville, VA (for Canes of course)!

AUGUST: We went on date nights and started having some lazy Sundays. Kitty played lots of hide and go seek and we ended the month in Oak Island over Labor Day Weekend with my family!

SEPTEMBER: We enjoyed the end of Labor Day weekend with my family in Oak Island, I started the school year at the preschool as lead teacher, and we had way too many pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks.

OCTOBER: October was super busy and fun! We went to the Dixie Classic Fair with Katie and Ethan and to Roanoke to celebrate Josh's mom's birthday. We also picked pumpkins with his family. We went to Liberty's Homecoming with my parents and Katie, played with our silly kitty, and went back to Roanoke to celebrate Josh's grandaddy's 80th birthday!

NOVEMBER: We relaxed after a busy October, put up our tree early to get Kitty used to it before we decorated, and enjoyed Thanksgivings with both of our families in Virginia and North Carolina.

December: We finished decorating for Christmas, did lots of Christmas shopping, sent out our first Christmas card, went to Williamsburg,VA on our "christmas vacation" to see Rich and Kelsey get married and explore, and celebrated Christmas in Virginia and North Carolina with both of our families!

We had such a great year! Here's to 2014!
Happy New Year everyone!
XOXO
