Labor Day Weekend 2018

Our 6th annual Labor Day Weekend Beach Trip was so much fun! Last year Luke was 5 months old and did not really care to be out at the ocean. This year he absolutely loved it. These first pictures are right after the 3 of us got there. We put him down and he ran straight for the water.

It was not very surprising that he also loved the pool! :) He liked to sit on the edge and fall into it. So much fun!

We met up with some of our youth who were there at the same time. We went to our favorite BBQ place on the island to get corn nuggets.

We always have to dinner in Southport because we love "The Frying Pan." We took some pictures and ate lots of sweet potato biscuits.

Last full day we went out to the beach in the afternoon and took some pictures and let Luke run back and forth to play in the water and the sand.

Of course ice cream at the beach is a must and Luke agrees.

Going to the beach with a baby is hard but this year was so fun to see him love it so much. Can't wait to see him run, talk, and play next year.

XOXO

Luke's First Trip to the Beach

This is my family's 5th annual Labor Day weekend beach trip! Having so many different work schedules is hard, so a long weekend seems to be what works best for everyone. This year was hard but also great because it was Luke's first trip to the beach! Here are way too many pictures from our weekend:

We LOVED our beach house!

Two other families from our church were also in Oak Island for the long weekend, so we met up with them a few times!

THE CUTEST SHARK BABY IN THE WORLD

It was supposed to storm all weekend, but God gave us three beautiful days. I can't believe last year I was SO SO SO sick when we took the Labor Day beach trip. I had just found out two weeks before that I was pregnant with Luke. He made this trip not very restful, but so happy. I can't wait for him to be able to walk around next year!

Our 4th Anniversary "Power Vacation"

We closed on our house on May 31st and decided to go to the beach for our anniversary 2 days later. We only stayed Thursday-Saturday, but we needed a quick getaway.

On our anniversary, we went out to the Frying Pan for dinner in South Port. We ordered too much food and got ice cream after. :)

We went for walks on the beach, mostly looking for shark's teeth. :)

I loved bible journaling on our balcony. :)

Here are some more pictures from the trip:

There were a ton of sticks on the beach, just like when we were there for our honeymoon.

Our last morning before we left we went for one last walk and a runner offered to take our picture when he saw us struggling to get a good selfie. :)

I love taking trips with bubba. We had a great anniversary and not I can't believe we've started year FIVE. WHAT??

XOXO
